More 2018 Sparkle!

Another New Years card….but the beauty of this card is that you can use these great Avery Elle dies for anything!  This fun card was designed by Caryn Davies, for Avery Elle, and posted on their Facebook page.  Caryn used the Avery Elle Letter Balloons Elle-Ments and the Avery Elle Numbered Balloons Elle-Ments.  These die sets would be great to use for birthdays, anniversaries, invitation, baby birth announcements….the possibilities are endless! If you are on Facebook, make sure to like Avery Elle’s page, for inspiration right in your daily Facebook feed.  Also, check out Caryn’s blog, Glitter Me Silly, for more of her gorgeous creations.

Make 2018 sparkle!

Since we don’t see many New Year’s cards, and since it is acceptable to send them a few days into the new year (in my opinion, anyway!), I thought I would post a couple more for this week.  The adorable card below was made by Elena Anderson, of Black Sheep 303 Creative, LLC.  Elena used Elizabeth Craft dies and glitter to create this sparkling beauty.  She used Elizabeth Crafts Balloons, Distress Mica Sprays, and Elizabeth Crafts Silk Microfine Glitter.   Because I am a huge fan of the small, but impactful details, my favorite part of this card is the white detail pieces on the balloons. Those are actually the remnants from when the balloons were cut out.  As you can see in the die below, those pieces are cut out and normally disposed of.  Instead of throwing them away and leaving the opening, Elena applied white glitter to them and use them to accent the balloons.  I absolutely love this attention to detail.  Visit Elena’s website, Black Sheep 303 Creative, LLC, to see exactly how this card was made, and to take a look at some of Elena’s masterpieces.  Amazing card, Elena!

Happy New Year 2018!

Do you make Happy New Year cards?  I do, generally for people that I wouldn’t normally send a Christmas card to, such as a new acquaintance.  In other cases, I make them for those who I accidentally left off of my Christmas card list! The card below was created by Nancy Krueger for Lawn Fawn, and posted on the Lawn Fawn blog.  I especially love the fact that Nancy used what looks to be embroidery floss, to tie around the base of the balloons for their strings.  What a fun (and simple!) accent to add to this card!

2018

Nancy used the following stamps and dies:

•  Celebration Countdown (stamp set)

•  Celebration Countdown Lawn Cuts (die cut set)

•  Happy Happy Happy (stamp set)

•  Scripty Happy (die cut)

•  Snowy Backdrop (die cut)

Make sure to check out Lawn Fawn’s blog, for more great ideas using their stamps, and to also get a glimpse of the great images and dies that they offer.  Make 2018 the year that you will let your creative spirit show in everything you do!
