Valentines Day is approaching, and here are some cute ideas for using votive candles or tea lights. You can use these for Valentines Day for a little romantic ambiance, or you can create them with materials that will play well for any season. Personally, I have done this project previously, stamping on vellum and creating a shade, like the image below with the fall leaves. It is super easy, cheap, and makes a great gift. You can also use pretty patterned card stock or paper. I definitely want to try the project below that uses a votive and lace, I think that is a very nice accent. The great thing about this project is that you can get the glasses, votive holders, votive candles and tea light candles cheaply at Dollar Tree, Walmart, or other discount stores. Most of us crafters have plenty of paper and card stock laying around, and even have bits of lace or material to use for the votive project. The links for more details on how to create these projects are below. Remember, these don’t have to be used just for romance, they can be used all season long…..with or without romance!
