Presents….not just under the tree

I am always amazed at the creative ideas that people come up with, and this wreath idea is no exception.  The great thing about wreaths is that you can make them out of just about anything….they do not have to be fresh floral and greenery or even floral picks from your local craft store.  The two pictures below are wreaths made using presents and packages.  The first wreath was made using boxes of various sizes wrapped in pretty coordinating paper and tied with pretty ribbon.  The second wreath was made with packages wrapped in brown paper and then tied with red and white striped twine. Envelopes of varying sizes in red, white, and green were then tied together with the same red and white striped twine, for a pop of color.  The brown paper packages wreath is what really caught my eye, I think for its simplicity.  It’s simple design makes for a bold effect.  For instructions on how to make the first wreath, visit the Woman’s Day blog.  The second wreath was made for the Craft Warehouse in Meridian, Idaho, so unfortunately, I do not have instructions.  However, it should be pretty easy to follow the instructions found on the Woman’s Day site, and just tweak it a little.  Either way, let your creative spirit take over and see where it takes you.
